The @maya Series focuses on my explorations about the Mayan Culture. I was particurlarly drawn to the use of scientific and astrological symbols by this ancient american civilization and the parallels with the technological language and symbols of our culture.

The series of drawings on recycled CDs are associated with the circular shapes used by the Shaman’s path.

During my research, the same question kept coming up:

Will our current symbols be a subject of discovery in the future, just as the Mayas’ are for us today?
