Hand painted on wood, twigs, wire, Icelandic wool, lava stones, gemstones, shells, metal, wire, acrylic paints, resins and other varied objects.
Wall 121" x 8' - 10" x 10" approx. each
This series represents the concentration of Shamanic powers by using different natural elements that encircled the Selkman's daily life. Colors are inspired by their limited palette. Originally, red and ochre came from soil, black from coal and white from crushed shells -all mixed with animal grease.
